Tickets to attend the Muckletoon Whisky Launch at the Eskdale Hotel on 26th June.

Doors open at 6:30 for a 7:00 start. Tickets include welcome drink, canapes, guided whisky tasting and guest speaker. Your ticket will be held at the hotel and available on arrival. Your receipt is confirmation for your ticket.

A Celebration of Local Flavour and History

The Muckletoon is the latest addition to the “Local Dram” series from Dark Sky Spirits Ltd., the independent blending house behind Moffat Distillery. Created by founder and blender Nick Bullard, the whisky is finished in a Pedro Ximénez cask, resulting in a rich, spicy dram with notes of baked plums and cinnamon pears. “It’s a whisky worthy of the name Muckletoon,” Nick says, referring to Langholm’s nickname as the ‘big town’ of the Borders.

This is the fifth expression in the Local Dram range, following acclaimed blends such as The Doonhamer and the Stranraer Oyster Festival bottling, and marks the first time Langholm has had its own signature whisky in modern memory.

Featuring Whisky Historian and Special Guest Speaker

Joining the event is whisky historian and author Justine Hazlehurst, founder of Kask Whisky and co-director of the Fife Whisky Festival. Justine brings a wealth of expertise on Scotch whisky heritage and has judged at leading international whisky awards. Her talk will share fascinating insights into the historical ties between whisky and the Borders, alongside a lively guided tasting.
