2026 Stranraer Oyster Festival Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

New for 2026! This year we have been working with Five Kingdoms in the Isle of Whithorn to create a delicious blend for the Stranraer Oyster Festival. Our 4th batch and highest strength batch, at 48% it really highlights the complexities the stout finish introduces to the whisky.

The blend of single malts from Speyside and Islay has been marrying for about 8 months in a cask before being transferred to the Five Kingdoms Stout cask. A further 3 months, and it has picked up all the richness of the stout-soaked oak. A beautifully complex dram that will still allow the oyster to shine - should you choose to try it that way!

TASTING NOTES:

On the nose: Sliced plum, gentle smoke with soft leather and seashells.

On the palate: A syrupy mouthfeel, with malt, cherry tobacco and ripe forest fruits.

The finish: Light smoke, cacao nibs with a touch of angelica root.
