ARISE 03 1 year old Scottish Malt Spirit

This one-year-old marks a quiet but important turning point in our Journey to Wood-Fired Scotch. At twelve months in the cask, the spirit is beginning to move beyond New Make character, with oak influence now clearly present but not yet dominant. 

This expression is drawn from the thirteenth cask filled at the distillery - around a third of the way into Scotland’s only wood-fired Scotch journey.

As with every release in this journey, the spirit is matured in ex-Bourbon American quarter casks from the Garrison Brothers Distillery in Texas, USA. At around 120 litres, this smaller format encourages earlier interaction between spirit and oak, allowing the character of both to emerge clearly at this stage.

Bottled at cask strength of 60.4% ABV, no filter, no added colour. 20 cl.
