Doonhamer Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Known as the "Breakfast Whisky," The Doonhamer is a handcrafted small-batch blend created in celebration of Dumfries and the people who call it home. Built around a carefully selected marriage of Speyside single malts, it reflects the character of the town itself: welcoming, approachable and full of depth.

Speyside is renowned for producing some of Scotland's most elegant and fruit-forward whiskies, offering notes of orchard fruit, honey, vanilla and gentle spice. By bringing together malts from across the region, we have created a whisky that is soft and inviting, yet layered with complexity for those who wish to explore it further.

Unlike most whiskies bottled at 40% ABV, The Doonhamer is not chill-filtered. Chill-filtration is commonly used to produce a brilliantly clear whisky, but in doing so can remove many of the natural oils and compounds that contribute texture, mouthfeel and flavour.

We believe character matters more than cosmetic perfection. By leaving the whisky untouched, The Doonhamer retains its full richness and flavour, even if this means a slight haze may appear at cooler temperatures. To us, this is a mark of authenticity rather than a flaw.

The result is a whisky that rewards both newcomers and seasoned drinkers alike: generous, flavourful and unmistakably characterful, just like Dumfries itself.

TASTING NOTES:

Appearance: Pale creamy gold

On the nose: Caramelised sugar, gentle oak and cereal

On the palate: An effervescent texture dances on the tongue, with hints of creme brulee,  lemon meringue pie. Fresh citrus rind.

The finish: A lingering sweet finish, which is in no rush to disappear.
