The Moffat Ram 150th Anniversary Collectors Edition

Blended locally at the Moffat Distillery to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Moffat Ram (also known as the Colvin Fountain). This whisky draws inspiration from across Scotland through specially selected casks to create a dram worthy of celebrating the vibrant community that the Ram represents.

The Moffat Ram was sculpted by William Brodie, and gifted to the town by William Colvin. Colvin was a philanthropist and businessman who lived at Craigielands in the neighboring village of Beattock. He chose a ram to commemorate Moffat’s sheep farming and wool trade heritage.

Bottled at 46%, it is the first whisky from Guillaume Brunet, distiller and whisky maker at the Moffat Distillery. Only 150 bottles were created for this very special occasion. Non-chill filtered and no added colour.

TASTING NOTES:

On the nose: Vanilla bean, chocolate and cherry tobacco

On the palate: Malted milk balls, beeswax and charred oak

Finish: The scent of pipe tobacco lingers in the mouth, long and pleasant.
